@kansolivingFrequently Asked Questions
Our initial goal at Kanso was to make the best and most practical towel. Our unique design originated over 100 years ago in Himeji Japan. The waffle weave texture allows for a fast drying, highly-absorbent, and lightweight towel.
We want to ensure that our product is as soft as it is functional, therefore Kanso towels are made with bamboo fibers which provide and extra measure of softness.
In addition, our towels are treated with Polygeiene™ silver ion, an antibacterial technology that inhibits the growth of bacteria. This ensures that our towels stay fresh and last longer.
The waffle weave design paired with the bamboo fabric and the silver ion treatment makes the Kanso towel the most environmentally conscious and sanitary home necessity.
All Kanso products are made with Polygiene StayFresh™ silver ion technology which is an industry-leading antibacterial technology inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria, so garments need less washing, saving water, energy and wear and tear.
Loomed from bamboo fiber and the world's softest cotton, our lightweight waffle woven towels featuring Polygiene Stay Fresh technology, are self-cleaning, fast drying and anti-microbial. This means you can dry off with a fresh, odor-free towel every time.
We offer four different sizes of towels.

We recommend the following steps:
- Wash in cold water on gentle cycle. Tumble dry low.
- Do not pull snags or loose threads — just snip any long strands with scissors
- Do not use fabric softeners, dryer sheets, harsh liquid or powdered detergents.
- Don't wash with clothing – zippers, hooks, etc. cause abrasion.
- Wash similar items together – same color and fabric.
Bluesign Approved and Oeko-Tex Tested and Certified - This means our towels meet rigorous independent environmental and product life cycle standards.
